For the moment we live in the most amazing world. So many human developments that make life better, easier, much more comfortable, safer. And even more importantly, at the moment we can be outside and breathe the air without airway protection. You can drink the water almost anywhere you find it. The sky is not full of contaminants or ash. You can go outside and your skin need not be covered with some sort of barrier to caustic chemicals.
People of the future will look at “photographs” of combustion engines and landfills and just marvel. Like we look at whale blubber being harvested, slaves being sold, minerals being strip mined, and rivers full of timber being harvested as hard as they could.
