We live during the best time for mankind to live. At least in most parts of the world we have access to things that extend our lives and contribute enormously to the quality of that life. Further, we live in a dynasty of disposability, what I mean is that our descendants are going to have to be extremely careful and will not have the luxury of burning everything, discarding everything, using and eating everything. Human life will be a far more frugal and environmentally-austere experience. Compared to our ancestors and our descendents, We truly live in an era of wine, cheese, caviar and indulgent, unchecked excess.
