Political assassination of the incumbent, simply because they can.

I’m really frustrated with this impeachment thing. I would hate it just as much if they were trying to impeach Hillary had they won. Just the concept of going after the president for political reasons instead of constituent reasons. You can tell that the people involved in the situation are working a career agenda. They’re not concerned with what the constituency wants. In fact, if it really came down to doing the best thing for their constituents, they wouldn’t be dividing the nation and attempting to politically assassinate a president. Which is exactly what they’re trying to do. They want to tank his ship before their nominee for the election has to go up against an incumbent. And you can tell the Democrats are objecting to any rule that is going to make it hard for them to eliminate the president. It has nothing to do with justice, and if they had a legitimate case to stand on they could include anyone as a witness they could include anyone to adjudicate the situation, they would not need Pardison members, literally a panel of exclusively democratic Trump haters to run the show.

I don’t think the Republicans are any better up there, I don’t think their interest or concern lies with the needs of the constituents. I really think that Washington is full of career politicians who are simply ensuring their own jobs.

And I think that what Trump seems to have done, is just an “excuse“ to start these impeachment proceedings. And again, I think that this is simply logistical, political assassination of a candidate.
