President Obama put more executive orders in place than any president before him, and in fact, paved the way for the president (while the nation was under a state of emergency), to control everything at his sole discretion from the airlines, to manufacturing, to the transport of necessary fuel’s, to the power grid.
Maybe Donald Trump doesn’t realize this.
He’s very smart you know, while he might say things that make you wrinkle your nose and worry about global opinion of the United States, what he actually *does* is sometimes cunning.
A democratic speaker of the house (N. Pelosi) is supposed to be a foil against certain crazy things the president might decide to do. But Nancy Pelosi is so singularly devoted to her democratic party members that she could easily be fooled or manipulated into doing things in service to Donald Trump simply because she feels obligated to say “no” to everything he does. She’s not a very good leader, and she is only serving half the American public.
When tip O’Neill was the speaker of the house, I had no earthly idea which party he represented because I never thought of the speaker of the house as representing a particular party but Nancy Pelosi makes the Republicans in the House into the red headed step child, and turns the house into a democrat serving organization that is supposed to meet the needs of the United States. She is only doing half her job.
But back to my point,
She is so myopic in service to Democrats and is so reflexive in her defiance of Donald Trump I believe (if he was crafty and oblique in the way he said it) he could literally say ‘I want to keep troops out of Afghanistan’, and I’ll bet you that senile old lady would say, “I can’t believe he’s doing that, we have to send troops to Afghanistan he is a terrible president.“
